In Japanese, "Ashi" means "foot" and "atsu" means "pressure". Inspired from Asian bodywork, Ashiatsu (essentially barefoot Swedish massage), is a relaxing deep-tissue massage delivered with the feet, on a massage table. The therapist uses overhead parallel bars for leverage and balance, customizing the pressure for each client's comfort. The broad pressure of the foot is effective and efficient in relieving tension, releasing trigger points, and improving lymphatic and blood circulation. The foot stroke's unique dynamic stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system for deeper relaxation.

  • Help athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts.
  • Improve the condition of the body's largest organ—the skin.
  • Lessen depression and anxiety.
  • Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation.

  • Greater energy.
  • Improved concentration.

Prenatal Massage

As the body is changing through the phases of pregnancy there are structural demands that create new stress and strain. Using the Body cushion, the client lies comfortable on her side during the massage.

Benefits During Pregnancy:

  • Reduces stress and promotes relaxation
  • Increases blood and lymph circulation
  • Reduces musculoskeletal strain and pain

Benefits in the Postpartum Period:

  • Reduces musculoskeletal and organic pain
  • Promotes structural realignment of the spine and pelvis, and reorganization of movement
  • Contributes to rehabilitation of abdominal skin, muscles, and organs
  • Relieves muscle strain caused by childcare activities

Benefits of Essential Oils

  • Essential oils are the regenerating, oxygenating and immune defense properties of plants
  • The molecular size of essential oils is so small they quickly penetrate the tissues of the skin.
  • Essential oils are lipid soluble and are capable of penetrating cell walls, even if they have hardened because of oxygen deficiency. They can affect every cell of the body within 20 minutes and are metabolized like other nutrients.
  • Essential oils contain oxygen molecules that help transport nutrients to cells. They stimulate the immune system by providing needed oxygen. Disease begins when cells lack oxygen for proper nutrient assimilation.
  • Essential oils are powerful antioxidants.
  • Essential oils are anti-bacterial, anti-cancerous, anti-fungal, anti-infectious, anti-microbial, anti-tumoral, anti-parasitic, anti-viral, and antiseptic.
  • Essential oils may help detoxify the body.
  • Essential oils restore balance to the body and help promote emotional, physical and spiritual healing.
  • Essential oils have a bio-electrical frequency that is several times higher than the frequency of herbs, food or the human body. Clinical research has shown that essential oils can quickly raise the frequency of the human body, restoring it to a healthy level.
